Rwandair spends $15 000 on ‘09 best Artists

As Rwandairs’ cooperate social responsibility, the national career has opted t recognize artists and journalists for their talents and work. At a ceremony organised by Kubana Events, Michael Otieno, the marketing and corporate communications officer, said, the budget cost $15000, in a bid to support local talents to showcase their talents in the country, and beyond.

As Rwandairs’ cooperate social responsibility, the national career has opted t recognize artists and journalists for their talents and work.

At a ceremony organised by Kubana Events, Michael Otieno, the marketing and corporate communications officer, said, the budget cost $15000, in a bid to support local talents to showcase their talents in the country, and beyond.

In an interview, Miss JoJo, who was given a return ticket to Johannesburg, for winning the Best Album (Female), confessed to The New Times that it’s her first time to receive such an award. "I’m so excited, and I appreciate both Kubana Events and Rwandair for motivating local artists.”

"When I go to South Africa, I’ll use the opportunity to sell the Rwandan music through gigs.”

Aimable Kubana, the founder of Kubana Events, "After identifying some of the challenges local artists face, I decided to create an events company to promote the local talents, I’ve a big dream,” Kubana said.

Otieno said, "I have contacted cooperate companies, including MTN and Tigo, and they have showed interest in supporting the project.
