I can’t stop thinking of the eighties nowadays when I walk down the streets; the ladies have gone back in terms of fashion. Enter the shops, supermarkets, church and anywhere, else you cant miss to see at least six out of ten ladies with the eighties clothes. Eighties fashion for women taught us terms like jelly bracelets, jelly shoes, neon clothing, leg warmers, and Guess jeans. They also brought back polka dots, Preppie clothes and wedgies – which are shoes. Oversized sweatshirts that could fit a truck inside over tight leggings were the norm.

Accessories were big and gaudy. Necklaces were layered on and had large pendants and medallions. Earrings were long and dangly. Purses were huge or small - no reason not to take it to extremes in both directions.
Whether you liked the styles or not, they showed individuality that had not been seen in generations before. Girls were clamoring to look like Madonna. Boys wanted to be like Michael Jackson. And they were allowed to - hey, it was the eighties!
The loud, big, gaudy and bright clothes in the eighties mellowed when the 90s approached. Colors were more subtle and hair miraculously flattened.
But a love of the eighties fashion endures both as a totally awesome piece of nostalgia and as the next big thing. Fashion seems to renew itself on what has come before, and it seems that the eighties has made their comeback.
Teenagers can be seen in leggings and miniskirts, wedge-heeled shoes are on every shelf, the skinny jean is back, and we find that everything eighties to have been redone to fit in this new age.
Bags and accessories
Handbags – we love them big! The oversized totes bags are back in a big bang.
Earrings – multicolored is the way to go, big plastic earrings have also found their way back in our dressers, like the polka dot.
Bangles – I sued to think these bangles would break a ladies hand, but no! Wear at least three bangles of different colors and you won’t regret it.
Clutch bags – the good thing about clutch bags is that they never go out of fashion; they only seem to get better as the days go by. These can be worn with anything.
Shoes
polka dot shoes -Keep an eye out like the ones shown here, as dots are one of the many fun and fresh prints you’ll be seeing on footwear this season.
These pretty Guess sandals feature 3.75” heels, sexy ankle straps, and also come with red and white polka dotted, black floral or white floral printed satin uppers.
Great shoes for nearly any type of skirt, these would add an especially feminine touch to a pencil skirt that’s cut just above the knee.
Wedgies shoes – I have seen an effort in girls and women alike everyone trying their best to get the collection of the wedgies. Walk into any shop and you will see wedgies taking the most of the shelves-the good thing with wedgies they are all season, with a dress, skirt suit, trousers or even casual with a shirt and jeans.
Peep toed shoes – these were the favorites worn with skin tight jeans and overflowing blouses. The sole being wood and plastic can hold any weight. Hey ladies get your pair today of any of these and bring back the memories of the eighties!
Clothes
Polka dotted sleeveless dress- these were my favorites back then when I was in my teenage years. These dresses give a lady that petit and delicate look (remember Julia Roberts in the movie pretty woman?)
Skinny jeans – came in all color and sizes worn with multi colored overflowing blouses. Remember the break dance? Yes, skiny jeans provided ability for one to break the dance without having to worry to overstep on your trousers.
Blouses – one can find open neckline, pleated details on front, back, and cropped sleeves. Or chiffons wear them on skinny jeans.
Multi-colored dresses- they come in all designs. Whether sleeveless or long sleeved, satin or cotton, short or long, belted or not, you cannot afford to miss this dress in your collection
Don’t be left behind girl, get yourself each of these eighties designs and be among the counted few in the world of fashionistas!
