Editor,

The Auditor General this week released the 2008 report on how government funds were used that year.
From the timing of the release, it is evident that the office needs more human capacity. How else would one explain that in the year 2010, we should instead be receiving the 2008 report?

The AG’s office should strive to release the report earlier for quicker action to be taken. But this can only be made possible if it is given the means required.

Otherwise today we are left wondering, what happened in 2009? Was it worse or better?
