BRAZIL are the world’s volleyball kings so Rwanda’s volleyball federation (FRVB) saw it fit to tap in on their rich talent by bringing on body Paulo de Tarso Milarge to take charge of the senior men’s national volleyball team.

Milarge, who has been contracted to a one-year renewable deal, will be assisted by his fellow country mate Rubens Bordinho.

The pair will work closely with Kinetherapist Maria Fernada Amalfi, physiotherapist Adriano Favaro Roza and Paulo de Tarcio Pan, who has been tasked to market the sport all-over the country.

Upon his arrival at Kigali International airport on Tuesday night, Milarge told Times Sport that he likes the challenge that is ahead of him.

"It is an interesting challenge and we are here to execute it. Together with my colleagues, we want to take the sport to a whole new level. Among other things, we want to transform local players into professional stars,” he noted.

Milarge is also tasked to assemble teams for the Girls and Boys’ Africa Youth Volleyball Championships which will be hosted in July and September respectively.
