GHANA’S Under-20 World Cup winning coach, Sellas Tetteh has cleared the air by saying that his interest lies in the Amavubi job. The Ghanaian, who jetted in the country, on Tuesday, has been linked to two jobs; Amavubi Stars head coach and the junior wasps (U-20 national side) seat but according to Football365.co.za, his heart lies in the Amavubi job.
GHANA’S Under-20 World Cup winning coach, Sellas Tetteh has cleared the air by saying that his interest lies in the Amavubi job.
The Ghanaian, who jetted in the country, on Tuesday, has been linked to two jobs; Amavubi Stars head coach and the junior wasps (U-20 national side) seat but according to Football365.co.za, his heart lies in the Amavubi job.
"It’s an interesting job and I think I’m in a good position to take the job. I’m the best candidate for the job,” he told Football365.co.za.
Currently, Tetteh is locked in talks with the Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc) but a deal can only be agreed after his agent’s arrival this morning.
Should a deal be reached, Tetteh will take over from caretaker coach Eric Nshimiyimana and have among other goals to qualify the team to the 2012 Nations Cup.
Last year in Kigali, he masterminded Ghana’s 2009 Africa Youth Nations Cup triumph and followed it up with another stimulating performance at the 2009 Fifa U-20 World Cup were Ghana lifted the trophy after beating Brazil on penalty shoot-outs.
