APR made a swift return at the top of the national football league table following yesterday’s away 3-1 victory over Marines at Umuganda Stadium.

Bokota Labama, Jean Baptista Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi and new signing Victor Nyirenda scored the goals to propel the reigning champions back at the top. Like Etincelles, who return to action this afternoon, APR have 27 points and top the table on goal difference.

For Bokota, it was his tenth goal of the season while Malawi’s Nyirenda scored on his league debut.

Else where, Amagaju were outplayed for long periods but still managed to hold onto a valuable point after a 1-all draw against cash-strapped Mukura at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.

Police also showed that there is life after Jimmy Gatete after a 4-2 victory over relegation battling side Musanze at Mumena stadium.

Roger Tchouassi scored a brace while Leandre Sekamana and Fidel Bosanja also got their names on the score sheet for Police.

This afternoon, SC Kiyovu host Etincelles at Mumena while 2004 league champions Rayon Sport play AS Kigali at Nyamirambo stadium.
