DEFENDING champions APR resume their hunt for a record 11th national league title when they play away to Marine this afternoon at Umuganda stadium.

The ten-time league champions will be seeking to snatch maximum points against relegation struggling Marines so as to increase their chances of retaining the title despite mounted pressure from newly promoted side Etincelles.

The military side, which has a game in hand, is placed second on the league standing with 24 points, three points behind leaders Etincelles who are in Kigali tomorrow to face Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s SC Kiyovu at Mumena ground.

APR are still smarting from the frustration of being held to a 2-2 draw by Angola’s Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo in the CAF Orange Champions League preliminary first round first leg tie on Saturday.
