Editor,

I want to thank the management and the staff team of Banque Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) for their continuous efforts and work done in transforming the bank to where it is now.

After the acquisition of 35 percent by Rabobank, a bank from Holland, the financial institution has transformed tremendously from being a Cooperative bank to a Commercial bank.

Today, it is attempting to harmonise all the 188 branches. So far 24 branches have been linked on one network, meaning that a client can access his or her account wherever she or he is based.

The bank is also striving to introduce the modern technology of sending and receiving money using a mobile telephone.

Another thing I would like to thank the management and the staff in general the idea is of giving all BPR banks the same look. Keep it up.
