No one is above the law
Editor, I’m pleased that Joseph Ntawangundi, an aide to presidential hopeful Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza, leader of FDU-Inkingi, the yet to be registered political party, has been sent to jail to begin his prison sentence for the role he played in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Maybe he assumed that his political masquerading would protect him from the jail term but I’m happy to find that he was mistaken.

Editor,
I’m pleased that Joseph Ntawangundi, an aide to presidential hopeful Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza, leader of FDU-Inkingi, the yet to be registered political party, has been sent to jail to begin his prison sentence for the role he played in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Maybe he assumed that his political masquerading would protect him from the jail term but I’m happy to find that he was mistaken.
This shouldn’t be seen as a political witch-hunt but rather justice that was long overdue. And if he thinks he’s innocent, he can simply appeal the sentence like any other Rwandan.
