As cash bonuses are staked for Atraco players

SUDANESE club El Amal arrived in the country yesterday ahead of Sunday’s Orange Confederation Cup first leg tie against Atraco at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.
By press time, residential premises for El Amal were yet to be known.

Over Rwf20 million is needed to cater for expenses of foreign clubs participating in either the Champions league or Confederation Cup but by press time, Ferwafa and Minispoc were still struggling to raise the sum.

Meanwhile, Atraco remain calm ahead of Sunday’s encounter. The taxi-men side, who went into camp last evening, have been promised cash bonuses should they topple the Sudanese side.

"We have promised them (players) cash bonuses for a win and we hope it is an incentive for them to give their all this Sunday,” Atraco’s vice president Issa Ngeze told Times Sport.

After Sunday’s tie, Atraco will fly to Sudan for the return leg on the weekend of (February 26-28).

The winner over the two-legged contest will go on to play either Costa do Sol (Mozambique) or Uniao Flamingo Santos of Botswana in the second round.
