I recently followed the monthly press conference of journalist with President Paul Kagame and one of the issues that came up was asking the Head of State if he is interested in standing in the upcoming General Elections.

Looking at the rate of development at which the country has grown under the leadership of Kagame, one would not doubt his potential as a committed leader passionately serving his people and his country.

Rwanda is currently rated among the fastest growing economies in the world, Africa’s leading corrupt-free state and with the best health care system in the region – all this was achieved under the presidency of Paul Kagame.

Rwanda is currently ranked among the most secure countries in Africa as well.

Also, Kagame has initiated many of the programmes benefiting his people including the Mutuelle de Sante health insurance and the One Cow per Family.

However, Rwanda is a member of the Third World and it needs leaders like Kagame who work for the general interest of the nation.

That is why he deserves another term to accomplish his work.
