Just like the Grammy record-breaker Beyonce recently changed her birth name: Beyonce Giselle Knowles to Sasha Fierce, the trend has spread among celebrities worldwide and even our local artists have embraced it.

Rwandan female artist Josiane Uwineza, alias Miss JoJo has reportedly converted from Christianity to Islam.

The Beretirida singer, whose new name is "Iman”, rubbished rumours that she changed the religion to please her man.
"I didn’t change the religion because of my fiancé. It was my belief, and I’ve always admired to be a Moslem,” she said.

"I’ve a fiancé but that doesn’t mean that I’m marrying anytime soon. The whole rumour is baseless.”

However, the PAM award-winner added that she does not regret her decision, but promised to maintain her stage name.
