THE president of Angolan club Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo, Rui Leao da Costa Campos has set his eyes at reaching the group stages of this year’s CAF Orange Champions league.
Recreativo open their campaign with a trip to Kigali for their preliminary first leg tie against APR on Saturday.
Speaking to Cafonline.com recently, Campos said that Recreativo will do their best to at least reach the group stages.
"We have recruited good players, including three foreigners. We have also strengthened the technical team,” the 68-year-old businessman said before adding, "We are determined to do our best, if not, we try again.
Contributing to the success of this club is dear to me because I am giving back to the society what they have given to me.”
After Saturday’s game, the two sides will meet in Luanda for the return leg in a fortnight.
The winner will then play reigning champions TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo who got a bye into the 1/16th round.
