Etincelles striker Moro Sumaila is hoping to win the golden boot award in the Rwandan Premier League for the ongoing 2022/23 season.
The Ghana international joined the Rubavu-based club in June and has since scored six goals and provided four assists in 11 league games so far this season.
Moro is hoping to follow the footsteps of his fellow countryman Michael Sarpong and Robert Saba who won the top scorer accolade during their time playing in Rwanda’s top flight league at Rayon Sports and Kiyovu SC respectively.
"My personal target is to be the top scorer in the league and I am on course. With hard work and perseverance, I am confident I can do it," Sumaila told Times Sport.
"I also want to help my team to finish in a very good position which is my basic aim. I will continue to go all out in every game," he added.
Moro netted the only goal of the game as Etincelles beat Gorilla 1-0 to win Sunday’s league clash at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.
Etincelles sit 10th on the league table with 16 points from 12 games.
