KARONGI - Police in Bwishyura sector, Karongi district are holding another notorious drug trafficker who was last week caught red handed smuggling 11kgs of marijuana.

Samuel Nteziyaremye, 37, was arrested during a random check up conducted by a joint team of Rwanda Revenue Authority and Police security officials on a bus travelling from Rutsiro to Karongi last week.

The apprehended marijuana was folded in 8,000 sticks worth approximately Rwf800, 000.

He was also found in possession of 122 packets of illegal polythene bags.

he marijuana was smuggled in the country from Congo through Gisenyi border, according to the Police.
