APR coach Egidia Kayitesi stressed the need for her team to learn how to finish off games after nearly giving away two points during yesterday’s 2-1 win over Inyemera.
The military side took an early lead through striker Emelyne Mbabazi but then missed numerous chances allowing Inyemera to crawl back into the game with a well-worked header from central defender Claudine Ingabire.
However, Anatoile Nirere saved her club blushes when she scored the winner in extra time.
Else where, reigning champions AS Kigali continued their impressive form after a compelling 5-1 win over Musanze.
Striker Mefya Hakizimana was the star performer after netting a hat-trick. Amuri Esther and Faida Sonya scored the other goals.
Mefya is now the leading goal scorer with nine goals, while her club has now scored 25 goals in three matches.
Aspej also trounced Rubavu 5-1 while Les Lionnes defeated Ruhango 2-1.
