A grenade was last evening thrown at the house belonging to Businessman Habib Niyibizi, a resident of Ruhango village of Gisozi sector. No one was hurt and the house suffered minor damage. Witnesses say that this is the second time that the house comes under a grenade attack.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Niyibizi, a father of six children, who were all in the house at the time of the attack, said that it occurred as he was entering the house.
"Whoever did it tracked my whereabouts because no sooner had I entered the house than the thunderous sound was heard,” explained Niyibizi.
He said he was coming from a friend’s wedding with his wife, and that the attacker almost never wanted him to say hello to his kids.
According to his close neighbour, Charles Mutemangando, who was seated at home watching soccer, he heard an explosion, and thought that he was the one under attack only to later learn that it was his neighbour.
Two months ago the same family was attacked again when a grenade was lobbed at Niyibizi’s car. Just like in yesterday’s incident, no one was hurt.
"The fact that I have been attacked twice puts my family in grave danger,” said Niyibizi. Police spokesman Eric Kayiranga told The New Times that the police suspect the attack was business related.
"We think it is related to the money lending business popularly known as ‘Bank Lambert’. The government has of recent mounted against this illegal money lending business that comes with exorbitant interest rates and ruin many borrowers.
