The Sunday Magazine is on a roll! Grace Bahati graces the cover. There is, however, a caveat. This beauty is the first crowned Miss Rwanda, after 18 years it was last held.
She is intelligent, natural, gorgeous and optimistic.

So how could SundayMag deny you the chance of seeing her grace its cover? This Rwandan beauty has come a long way from being a little shy girl from Kicukiro, to a big wheel, and she graces major national events.

Her new status has enhanced her mindset, and vows to become a good ambassador—to profile Rwanda worldwide.

"It’s a pity that some people still have a negative impression about Rwanda because of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and others busy spreading genocide ideologies,” Bahati said.

"I want the world to know that Rwanda is on a positive move, and politically stable, thanks to the current leadership which has ensured peace, unity and reconciliation.”

Also, during her term, Bahati says that she will fight against genocide ideologies, advocate for the orphans, and encourage the youth to participate in the country’s development.

However, Bahati says that beauty alone is irrelevant. "Beauty should be complemented by brains, discipline and culture.”

The 18-year old is reportedly more than committed to her responsibilities. "I will dedicate all my time and efforts to everything that will contribute positively to my responsibilities as Miss Rwanda and studies, and I’ll stay away from my weakness and focus on my strength.”
Born in Uganda to Laurent Mwenzangu and Sophia

Batamuriza, Bahati is second last in the family of eight children, and is a student at Lycée de Kigali.
