The other goals were scored by Haruna Niyonzima (brace), Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza aka Migi, Kabange Twite and an own goal from Zèbres defender Claude Hakizimana. It is the heaviest win of the preliminary round of the lucrative MTN Peace Cup.

Reigning champions Atraco and last year’s losing finalists Mukura won 1-0 and 3-0 respectively, while Electrogaz FC, Amagaju FC, Musanze, Pepiniere, National University of Rwanda (UNR) and ISAE all won their return legs to qualify for the second round.

APR, Atraco and the troubled Rayon Sport now hope to avoid each other when the draw is made this morning at the national football federation (Ferwafa) headquarters in Remera.

The Blues and Police had already qualified for the second round after byes in the first round.
