According to the Secretary General of the Confederation of Central and East African Football Federation (Cecafa) Nicholas Musonye, Ferwafa will have the money on the account before the end of the week.
"Zanzibar has received their share and we hope that Rwanda and Uganda will get theirs too,” Musonye said.
Musonye attributed the delay to a new tax introduced by their bankers.
"Our bankers in Kenya introduced a new tax which has caused the delay.”
Uganda Cranes will pocket $30.000 (Rwf17.4m) after winning the competition. Rwanda who finished second will bag $20.000 (Rwf11.6m) while third place finishers Zanzibar were given $10000 (Rwf5.8m).
Orange, Telkom Kenya injected $175.000 (sh346.5m) into the tournament that was jointly played in Nairobi and Mumias in Kenya.
