MTN Rwanda, the country’s leading telecom by market share on Tuesday launched a foundation that is meant to give back to the society.

The telecom will be injecting Rwf100 million representing 1 percent of its profits after tax in the foundation as it widens its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

During the launch, the operator’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Khaled Mikkawi, said that the telecom company is passionate about the vision to positively impact lives in the Rwandan communities.

"This year we have injected Rwf100 million of which the amount is expected to increase as we are making profits.

The more profits we will be making in a year the more will be injected in the Foundation,” Mikkawi added.
