One thing I have noticed is that many children have so much material to read however, they lack the initiative to do so due to the limited access to libraries.

Still with young, fresh minds Rwanda’s children should step forth and make use of all the unexplored skills they have in reading in writing.

The more they read the better the more they get informed and at the end of the day, a well informed nation is built.

As school starts the Ministry of Education needs to consider building or supporting those interested in setting up libraries in various parts of the country.

Rwandans must understand that children who read widely have a better insight on different topics and experiences that are happening in the country and around the world.

The truth is that no single person can travel all corners of the world during their life time. It is through reading that they get to know how unique different cultures are around the world. In turn this enables them to appreciate their own culture.

More so, whatever knowledge is discovered, it should be transferred and shared. This is done through writing hence equipping young readers to become knowledgeable and better writers of the future.
