KIGALI - As the long vacation concludes, Cobra Production has organised a "Bye Bye Vacaces Concert” to all students in the country, to wish them a success New Academic Year.

In a press conference, Uganda’s famous artists: Grace Nakimera, Radio & Weasle and DJ Junior expressed a great level of enthusiasm and devotion to perform for their Rwandan fans.

"It’s amazing and funny being in Rwanda. This is my third time in the country, I love Rwanda, and I promise lots of fun tonight,” Grace Nakimera, half Rwandan-half Ugandan fast-rising singer said.

Radio and Weasle, who seemed more excited than the rest of other artists, said that they have an extension of fan base in Rwanda. "We love Rwanda, and we’re soon to get national identification from here.”

Radio said "There is nothing good like being in a peaceful country like Rwanda.”

However, all artists said that they have lots of surprises for their fans.

Meddy, The Ben, and Tom Close (Rwanda), are among the local artists who will perform alongside the regional performers.

"I’ve been in events for so long, and I’ve organised mega concerts, featuring some of Africa’s most famous artists, including Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Brenda Fassie, and Koffi Olomidé,” Cobra told The New Times. "I also want to make this one successful.”

The main concert is slatted for today (February 1), at Amahoro Stadium’s parking area, from 3 p.m.—entrance, Rfw3000, and Rfw5000 for VIP. Tickets will be sold at the entrance.
