The Equity Market

The Rwanda OTC Market is quiet today as no transactions were reported. On the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 527, 700, KCB shares were traded on Wednesday 27th January 2010. KCB shares traded between 23 Kshs (Rwf.172.9.) and Kshs 22.25 (Rfw 167.32) to close flat at 22.50 Kshs (Rfw 169.20).

The NSE all share indexes closed down 0, 23 points to close at 79. 76.  DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market

No transaction was recorded on ROTC market.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
