APR’s influential defender Mbuyu Twite has returned back from India where he had gone for surgery on a broken ankle.

According to APR Secretary General Adolphe Kalisa, the operation on the hardworking Rwandan international was successful.

"They returned home this morning (yesterday) and what I can tell you is that the operation was successful.

"We are yet to get a report from the team doctor (who accompanied the player) to know how long he will be out,” Kalisa said, adding they are confident the player will recover earlier than expected.
