RWANDA’S professional golfer Emmanuel Ruterana is desperate to land sponsorship in order to make an appearance in Saturday’s Uganda MTN monthly Mug at Entebbe golf course.

The 27-year-old was also forced to pull out of the lucrative Africa Open that was held in South Africa early this year due to financial incapacitation.

In an interview with Times Sport, Ruterana said that he is still waiting on offers from Bourbon café and Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

"I haven’t played competitive golf this year and I’m really counting on Bourbon café because I want to play this Saturday,” he said.

Ruterana has also set his eights on the lucrative Kenya Open set for March in Nairobi.

Meanwhile, Rwanda’s other pro-golfer Jean Baptist Hakizimana, who is sponsored by MTN Rwanda, is in South Africa where he is scheduled to take part in next week’s Vodacom Open.
