NYAGATARE – A workshop to repair and maintain tractors is to open in the Eastern Province, an official has revealed.
The Provincial Governor, Dr. Ephraim Kabayija, revealed this on Tuesday during a meeting with farmers in Nyagatare district.

Farmers reported that all tractors which were bought to help them have developed mechanical faults. They have also complained that the spare parts for servicing the tractors are expensive to import.

"The province is going to work closely with the Nyagatare district and within one month period this workshop will be set in Ryabega,” Kabaija said. 

"We want the workshop to be equipped with all spare parts and qualified technicians to help our farmers minimize the costs of importing spare parts.”
