Junior Chamber International (JCI), a global agency with a chapter in Rwanda, has trained over 1500 entrepreneurs on how to grow their businesses in the last 8 months, an official of the organization told The New Times.

JCI Rwanda’s incoming president Fabrice Ngoga said that the agency will continue partnering in the country’s development especially through empowering young people with skills to do business.

"We have a mandate of changing lives, we are happy with the activities in the past year and JCI will continue reaching out and impacting people,” he said.

The Minster of infrastructure Vincent Karega who officiated at the function commended the great work done by JCI in empowering young people in business skills, saying that JCI activities perfectly fit into the solutions that the country needs at this time.

"JCI’s programs fit perfectly into what the country needs; we need entrepreneurs and value addition, we should continue supporting it and benefiting from its programs” he said.

JCI is organizing the young achievers’ awards to be given to people who have exhibited outstanding leadership roles and those who have been creative and innovative in various fields.
