RAF fill vacant SG seat

JACK Ngabonziza has replaced Appollinaire Munyangoga as the new Secretary General at the national athletics federation (RAF). Ngabonziza was voted into office during Friday’s extra-ordinary general assembly at Amahoro stadium and will stay in office until 2011 when the current tenure expires.

JACK Ngabonziza has replaced Appollinaire Munyangoga as the new Secretary General at the national athletics federation (RAF).

Ngabonziza was voted into office during Friday’s extra-ordinary general assembly at Amahoro stadium and will stay in office until 2011 when the current tenure expires.

"He has good experience in athletics and we have no doubt that he will deliver,” one of the officials said of Ngabonziza, who has also worked with the national tennis federation in the past.

This year’s calendar paces off with an inter-club competition in February. The competition will be a preparation ground for athletes raring to go at the 36th World Cross Country in Poland.
