MUHANGA - The Gahogo Gacaca court will today decide the fate of Pastor Pedaie Ntihanabayo, of the Adventist church in Nyabisindu, who is accused of genocide crimes.

Pastor Ntihanabayo was sent to jail recently after being implicated in the death of Eriazari Mpunguje - who used to live in his home before the genocide.

Witnesses allege that the accused pastor escaped at the peak of the killings, leaving Mpunguje behind.

The Pastor is accused of not being able to give any leads on the death of the young man.

The pastor argues that he learnt of the victim’s murder from one of his other workers, but did not have any concrete information since he had escaped the killings.

The workers however, gave contradictory evidence about the death of Mpunguje, which led the pastor to be held accountable.

The case has attracted the attention of Adventists Christians, who say the Pastor is being targeted to frustrate his success in the forth coming elections of Adventist leaders countrywide.
