Last year I went to visit my friend in Gatsata. It so happened that one day we went for a stroll in the shopping centre where we saw a plump woman sitting outside her shop. I was startled for I had never seen such a plump and burly person in my life. I asked my friend what was wrong with the woman. She told me that she had been bewitched by her in-laws. About the big belly, she was told she would stay with it until the day she gave birth to a big snake, bees and a tortoise.

I was startled for I had never seen such a plump and burly person in my life. I asked my friend what was wrong with the woman. She told me that she had been bewitched by her in-laws.
About the big belly, she was told she would stay with it until the day she gave birth to a big snake, bees and a tortoise.
The woman had gone to many magicians, witchdoctors and hospitals but all in vain. The magicians and witchdoctors had told her that the person who bewitched her was the only one who could cure her, but when she went to one of her sisters-in-law (relatives), she said she felt sorry for what she had done to her, but had no power to cure her.
The woman had nothing to do apart from sitting on an armchair waiting for her death since she could not do any work.
I was so terrified and felt sorry for the woman after hearing her story. We continued with our walk and while we were returning, I asked my friend to pass by the woman’s shop as I wanted to take another look at her.
To our surprise when we reached there, we found the woman in labor. Everyone was terrified because the woman was groaning as if she would give up the ghost.
Some people went to look for a vehicle to rush her to hospital. Before the vehicle came, the bereaved woman spoke her last: "My death and all the pain I have felt has been caused by Bibiliya my relative.
Now I am going to die and immediately after my death, she will die with greater pain than mine.” After saying this, she gave birth to a big snake, a tortoise and bees.
The bees flew and went to Bibiliya’s house and started to sting her; the snake and tortoise too followed. The snake bit her and soon she started swelling. By now the woman had died and pain was left for Bibiliya.
The latter tried to open her mouth wide for help but there was no sound. After an hour, she too gave up the ghost. She was now plump and burly like the other before she died. However, after watching this incident, we went back home.
I really could not believe my eyes. What I had seen was unbelievable! I asked myself, and up to now I still ask myself, "Could it be true?”
