TWELVE clubs will face off in today’s Sharks 7-aside tournament at Rugunga grounds. 

2009 national league champions Remera Buffaloes; tournament hosts Sharks and UNR Grizzlies will field two teams each, while Gorrillas, Simba, Puma, ISAE, Busogo, Kaduha Tigers and Lion de fer will field one team.

With such a big turn up, Sharks Secretary General Janvier Ugeziwe expects a competitive tourney.

"Judging from the number of teams involved, we expect a very competitive contest,” he said.

Since it is also the opening event on this year’s rugby calendar, Ugeziwe expects all teams to give it their all as they weigh their strengths.

Teams will compete in three categories; Main Cup, Plate and Bowl.
