Can Public Displays of Affection (PDA) portray immorality in society?

I happened to get a chance to see a couple  saying  goodbye to one another at a bus station. While departing, they kissed  so passionately and one passenger shouted at them to "get a room” .

I wondered whether what they did was offensive. Public displays of affection can be defined as physical demostration of affection  between a couple.

This ranges from kissing,cuddling and holding hands. Public displays of affection can cut thorough cultural boundaries. What is acceptable in one culture may not be acceptable in another. African Traditional Society considers this act as lewd behaviour yet there is no etiquette  determined.

It’s on this ground that  I interviewed different people on what they thought about PDA.

Public display of affection does not portray immorality because it’s a genuine act of showing one another what you really feel for them.

It depends on the suitation and place. If a couple is on their honeymoon you don’t expect them not to hold hands or kiss because what they are feeling at that time is really strong hence involuntary actions.

If it’s done the natural way then it’s ok unless you go further , I mean when it becomes unsuitable to the eyes or if it’s meant to attract some attention.

Public display of affection is an act of immorality. I was brought up in a Moslem community and this act can lead to being stoned to death. Passionate kissing should not be done beyond the four walls of your  bedroom.
