ACCLAIMED long distance ace Dieudonne Disi is finalizing preparations to run in next month’s Puerto Rico international half marathon slated for February 7.
The athlete, who skipped this month’s Abu Dhabi marathon, sees the Puerto Rico half marathon as a perfect build up for the forth coming 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games.
"I’m preparing for the Commonwealth Games. That is my major target,” he told Times Sport from his training camp in Eldoret, Kenya.
Disi, who turns 30 in November, also said that the Puerto Rican race will shape him up for the April World marathon championships to be held in Paris, Rotterdam and London.
"I still don’t know which one I will take part in but it will definitely depend on the prize money on offer,” he added.
Meanwhile, the athlete, who is sponsored by Adidas, is on the verge of sealing an advertising deal with a French company.
"I have a few things to sort out before sealing the deal but hopefully, it will be soon.”
Disi has been training with several athletes from Kenya.
