NYAGATARE - The Adventist Development Relief Agency, ADRA-Rwanda, on Tuesday donated building materials worth Rwf 3million towards the construction of classrooms to support of the 9-Year-Basic Education programme in Rukomo sector, Nyagatare district.
NYAGATARE - The Adventist Development Relief Agency, ADRA-Rwanda, on Tuesday donated building materials worth Rwf 3million towards the construction of classrooms to support of the 9-Year-Basic Education programme in Rukomo sector, Nyagatare district.
The materials donated include12 metallic windows and doors for six classroom blocks at Rurenge Secondary School. According to the school’s head teacher, Karangwa Kageruka, the school plans to build nine classroom blocks that will increase the number of students from 2588 to 2783,
Amani Ngamije, ADRA’s assistant administrator in charge of education, said that the donation was in line with the project’s goal of supporting education in the country.
‘Our project looks at suitable interventions within the education sector in Nyagatare,’ he said.
The Executive Secretary of Rukomo Sector, Emmanuel Hakuzweyezu, thanked ADRA for its donation which he said will help speed up the completion of the classrooms.
