PUGILISTS Theoneste Gakunzi and Selemani Kigabo made a mark for themselves after hinging out their opponents on technical knock outs (TKO) in the CNLS sponsored boxing tournament which was staged at Amahoro’s Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Gakunzi stopped Mustapha Mpakaniye with a left hook in the second round while Saleh Nsengumuremyi could not contain Kigabo’s rapid punches in the dying seconds of the second round.

Maurice Bikorimana survived a late scare from Vincent Nsengumuremyi to win on unanimous decision.

Jean Marie Nsengiyumva, Eric Baributsa 48kg, Saleh Butoyi 51Kg, Michel Gashumba 57Kg, Alfred Uwizeyimana and Jean Paul Gatera 69Kg also won their respective bouts.
