Rwandans in Haiti safe
A Rwandan Police Officer, serving under the UN Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), Supt. Richard Kamanzi, helping to assess the damage in Port-au-Prince in the aftermath of the severe earthquake that hit the country. Despite the deaths of thousands, especially in the capital, all Rwandan nationals serving in the country were reported safe and sound.

A Rwandan Police Officer, serving under the UN Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), Supt. Richard Kamanzi, helping to assess the damage in Port-au-Prince in the aftermath of the severe earthquake that hit the country.
Despite the deaths of thousands, especially in the capital, all Rwandan nationals serving in the country were reported safe and sound.
The Rwandan officers were supposed to wind up their round of duty at the end of the month, but have been requested to extend their stay their life-saving mission.
