KCB shares rose by 5.6 percent last week

Last week the Rwanda OTC market came back to life as the market recorded a turnover of Rwf169,000 from KCB 1000 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction.  The KCB shares went up Rwf9 to close at Rwf169. At the end of the session, 2,215 shares were on offer and no buyers.On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares traded in a slightly higher range this week as the previous week.

Last week the Rwanda OTC market came back to life as the market recorded a turnover of Rwf169,000 from KCB 1000 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction. 

The KCB shares went up Rwf9 to close at Rwf169. At the end of the session, 2,215 shares were on offer and no buyers.
On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares traded in a slightly higher range this week as the previous week.

KCB shares hit low of Ksh20.00 (Rwf151) and a high of Ksh21.50 (Rwf162) to close at Ksh21.00 (Rwf158) on Thursday.

At the close of business on Thursday, the NSE All share closed up +1.89 points at 78.14.

Dar-es-Salaam Stock Exchange and the Uganda Securities Exchange did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market, on Thursday 14th January 2010 the first ever Government bond to be listed on the ROTC market expired.

This brings the total outstanding government bonds listed on the market at Rwf9.2 billion. 

At the close of the business, there were no buyers or sellers.  There were BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf100.50 but no buyers.
