Editor;
I wish to congratulate ICPAR for finally releasing the updated list of authorized auditing firms as of The New Times of 25th December 2009.
However, the ICPAR list this time included the name of Deloitte & Touché Rwanda S.a.r.l which had been omitted from the ICPAR first publications; as clients of Deloitte & Touché Rwanda S.a.r.l, when this happened we were in panic and confusion and to avoid future tension we wish to seek clarifications on the following issues;
1. From Deloitte website (www.deloitte.com), I learnt that Deloitte & Touché had made it very clear that it doesn’t have an office in Rwanda. So then, who is Deloitte & Touché Rwanda S.a.r.l?
2. How come Deloitte & Touché Rwanda S.a.r.l logo looks the logo as Deloitte & Touché
3. I have seen your firm’s website is www.gpopartners.com, and your email as gporw@gpopartners.com. It is only recently when I logged onto your website that I got confused. How is it that GPO Partners, with an office in Rwanda called Deloitte & Touché Rwanda S.a.r.l and another office in Burundi called Deloitte & Touché Burundi s.p.r.l, is even operating?
What of Deloitte & Touché international? I’m asking them to save their good name in Rwanda and protect us, the global clients, from shysters. Rwanda is not an isolated inland.
