Editor, I’d like to correct some of the information you published in the Monday 04th January issue of The New Times, in an article titled “LABOPHAR eyes WHO certification”. The LABOPHAR factory has two production units; one for non sterile drugs such as tablets, capsules, syrups, ointments, suppositories, etc and another one for infusions like normal saline, dextrose 5%, lactated Ringer’s.
Editor,
I’d like to correct some of the information you published in the Monday 04th January issue of The New Times, in an article titled "LABOPHAR eyes WHO certification”.
The LABOPHAR factory has two production units; one for non sterile drugs such as tablets, capsules, syrups, ointments, suppositories, etc and another one for infusions like normal saline, dextrose 5%, lactated Ringer’s.
There isn’t a Rwanda Paramedical Centre (RPC) but rather a "Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC)”.
In pharmacy, we don’t use words like "healing composition”. We call them "active ingredients” and there is no difference in quality, purity, effectiveness, and safety between generic drugs and name brand ones”.
And finally, LABOPHAR has a project to increase its production capacity so that exportation may become possible in the neighbouring countries. We haven’t the capacity to do so at this moment.
