Horizon trial set for Monday

The Military Tribunal seating in Nyamirambo has set the start of the trial involving the former Managing Director of Horizon Group, Lt.Col. Paul Semana and his former site engineer, Capt. Denis Rwamo, for Monday, 11. The two are accused of not accounting for Rwf500m in the construction of Gashora Dyke in Eastern Province.

The Military Tribunal seating in Nyamirambo has set the start of the trial involving the former Managing Director of Horizon Group, Lt.Col. Paul Semana and his former site engineer, Capt. Denis Rwamo, for Monday, 11.

The two are accused of not accounting for Rwf500m in the construction of Gashora Dyke in Eastern Province.

The court has set the date after receiving two expert reports and taking a field visit to the site.

"According to the contract, Horizon was supposed to build a Dyke with a height of 3m and 8.5 km long but they did not,” Military prosecutor, Kagiraneza Kayihura said.

The trial is being heard by Judge, Major Marc Sebaganji (presiding) assisted by Capt Michael Mbabazi and S/Major Ndikumuzima Sebutama.
