The Equity Market

The Rwanda OTC Market opened the year quietly as no transactions were reported.

On the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) a total of 103, 600 KCB shares were traded on Wednesday 6th January 2010. KCB shares traded between 20.50 Kshs (Rwf.154.98) and Kshs 20.00 (Rfw 151.20) to close flat at 20.00 Kshs (Rfw 151. 00).

The NSE all share indexes closed up 0.81points to close at 72.75.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market
No transaction was recorded on ROTC market.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively. 

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
