As regards peace in the various aspects of life today, we are still hesitant to define whether it is a right, valued or just disguised in nature. This situation is definable to clarify for every person’s heart to understand that peace is where human rights and unity co-exist in the society.

However, I believe that a human person is one with the heart of peace unlike the beasts that will never spot its virtues.

We have consistently played fast and loose about the paramount values of peace in various ways of life. It is appalling to see people violating the values of peace.

Rwandan people have to feel that never ending peace in order to avoid political, tribal and regional differences that separate us. Rather than demonstrations and strikes, the youth need mutual understanding and love.

To achieve this amongst the youth should prove to be easier than expected. Numerous get-together fellowships can be encouraged to enthuse the youth and trust my psychic nature, they can help save millions of lives dying of hunger, having no shelter and not forgetting those living with HIV/AIDS.

In schools, these youths can organize and volunteer to clean up a nearby hospital; cook for some of the patients or donate merchandise as well. Not only will it show an act of responsibility towards the neighbor, but it will also bring unity as they come together to help!

Also, there is concern that idleness and past experiences like physical and psychological traumas may implant in the youth a wrong concept of peace in the society.

I mean, we obviously have to always let bygones be bygones and move on to the next level of development.

Coming from different backgrounds shouldn’t stop unity from taking its place as part of what makes Rwanda to be the ‘Heart of Africa’.

I usually ponder what today’s youth are up to not to be exporting the rich culture we have here that really binds us as a growing nation with a co-ballistic vision.

Various human rights activists can quote me right that women are the centre of society, without them, there wouldn’t be growth. Personally, I support girl-child education and look at where it has taken us as a nation; our dear mother country now proudly enjoys having the highest number of women senators in the world.

With this sort of educational outreach, girls in Rwanda have to be taught how to handle their vulnerability and make the right choices.

The number of under age mothers is also curbed down with this method, but it does not mean that there are no under age mothers or school drop-outs in the country.

Quite a few supportive organizations help unite the latter and teach them skills that all in all come to unite Rwandans. Take a good look at the ‘Agaseke Baskets’ woven by the Rwandan woman and a great tourist export, indeed.

The Rwandan woman has all the power to instill peace and love in children to keep peace in our communities.

Since conflicts are a tragic waste of human life, I am calling upon all people with different ideas to keep an eye on creating and building peace.
