Sam Barigye is the Director of Training at Workforce Development Authority (WDA), an institutional framework set to provide a strategic response to the skills development challenges facing the country in all sectors. He has a life beyond work. Find out a bit of it below:
The first thing you do in the morning
I check on what I am to put on and forward it to the maid
When are you happiest?
Whenever I perform as expected at work
Earliest childhood memory
In 1982 when my father’s sewing machine was stolen yet it was the source of life at the time we were refuges in Uganda
Greatest fear
Being fired, this makes me work so hard.
Greatest achievement
This is what I am still working for.
Affectionate memory of your parents
My father’s hard work to support a family of 9 in Uganda.
What keeps you awake at night?
Only when I have a flight to some place I have never been before.
The most important thing life has taught you
Being down to earth, as no one knows what life has for tomorrow.
During your free time
I meet friends, watch football and movies.
Retirement plans
I plan to start and manage a hotel.
