MTV Africa Music Award Winner’s Amani (Kenya), and Tanzania’s AY are already in town for the New Year’s East African Party. The stars are in the company of their fellow Uganda’s R’nB boy, Tonix and the lady dancehall duo ‘Toxic HB’. Speaking at a press conference at Top Tower Hotel-Kigali, the artists guaranteed the finest in their perfomances.

Speaking at a press conference at Top Tower Hotel-Kigali, the artists guaranteed the finest in their perfomances.
They will also grace local artist Kitoko’s album launch tonight at the Amahoro expo grounds. Kitoko launches his debut twelve track album, ‘Ifaranga.’
"We promise more fire” said AY answering to what fans Rwandans should expect in the gig. HB Toxic’s Helen said, "Rwanda should just expect to be toxicated- everything will be great there.”
AY added that he was surprised by the way Rwandan music was taking a step ahead amazingly. He also passed advice to the upcoming local artists to make collabors with internationals and try singing in Kiswahili.
When Amani was asked the secret that took her to the level of winning ‘MTV Africa’s best female artist’, she called it her secret. She said "Every one is special in their own way and mine is my secret.”
Kitoko Patrick, the host artist was grateful to the Bralirwa and the East African Party organizers who supported him through his album launch preparations. The afro-beat artist promised great stage work backed by a live band and many more surprises.
"Everything is well organized and the live band will spice the show,” he said.
All the artists winded up the conference presenting their freestyles for their favourite own songs.
