THE National Football Federation (Ferwafa) president Jean Bosco Kazura looks certain to retain his position for the next four years after being confirmed as the sole candidate in Saturday’s elections. In a list that was published on the federation website yesterday, Kazura was unopposed, while the vice president’s seat had three candidates including the incumbent-Vedaste Kayiranga, Raoul Gisanura and Fidele Gakuba.

Bernard Itangishaka (legal advisor) and Emmanuel Ndagijimana (treasurer) are also unopposed.
Stiff competition looms for the post of technical advisor with Rene Karimunda, Celce Gasana, Jean Bizimana and Albert Mwanafunzi all vying for the hot seat.
The post of finance pits Rayon Sport secretary general Olivier Gakwaya against Theophile Kamana while Richard Gahonzire and Pasteur Byiringiro are vying for the post of Public Relations officer.
Boniface Nsabimana and Muhidi Yunusu Byumvuhore are jostling for the post of competitions organizer while Steven Balinda and Felicite Rwemalika will also retain their seats as Referees coordinator and women football head respectively.
Because of the elections, all second division matches initially scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Sunday.
