Editor, I am writing to seek assurance from my bank, the Commercial Bank of Rwanda (BCR) that they will not disappoint some of its client this New Year’s weekend as they did over Christmas last week. On Friday December 25, I fell victim this past weekend after I was mislead by an announcement that was pinned on the BCR branch at what used to be called Novotel, now Laico Hotel, which stated that the services that would have been offered at this branch could be accessed at the newly opened nearby Kacyiru branch that is located at Stippag House.
Editor,
I am writing to seek assurance from my bank, the Commercial Bank of Rwanda (BCR) that they will not disappoint some of its client this New Year’s weekend as they did over Christmas last week.
This announcement clearly stated that this branch would operate from 12 hours and close at 18 hours.
However, I was baffled to reach this Stippag branch (where I got at 17h:30) and the doors were closed.
Thinking that I had maybe I had not got the time correct, I asked a security personnel who was guarding the bank the time at which the bank closed and his answer was the Bank did not open at all that day!
I am sure many other people were affected, of course negatively by this miscommunication because even on trying the Remera branch, it was closed.
As we get ready for the New Year, let BCR be clear by dully scheduling the respective branches that will be operating.
Happy New Year
