Releasing an album is a nightmare to most artists. Well, they get loaded after launching these albums but most of them later tend to slow down:

Rafiki of ‘Coga style’ entered the local music industry with the Afro-beat quality that positioned him with international stars.

We saw him stock awards at home but, after releasing his ‘Icyambere’ album, the husky voiced slowed down.

Tom Close is yet another lad who came as a ‘messiah’ to the industry that knew little about R’nB.  He was named ‘artist of the year’ 2008. He reduced spirit after launching his debut ‘Kuki’ album, though he went on to his second, ‘Sibeza’.

K8 Kavuyo, no longer frequents studios either. With his popular jargon ‘Hip Hop Nyayo’, the 20 year old has been one of the best rappers and good performers of 2009. He released his debut album ‘Isaha Ya Munani’ in September but notably cut muscle in the aftermath.

And for The Ben, one can be forgiven to say that the 2009 has been successful for him, after he was voted the Best Artists of the year.

The ‘magical’ voiced singer has however been struggling in the last quarter of the year. And, a good observe can concur with me that it all started with his aborted album launch show, way back in September.

Gospel singer Tonzi definitely has one of the best voices on the land. However, one wonders why she has been silent.
