Businessman Barry Ndengeyingoma, commonly known as Ndengeye, has ruled out working again with his business associates at B-Club Discotheque following his recent arrest over charges related to abuse of trust.

Ndengeye is the majority shareholder in the discotheque that is located in the upscale Kigali residential area of Nyarutarama.

His associates Emile Havugimana and Theo Kubwimana own 25 percent in the club and have been shareholders for the last four month, according to Ndengeye.

The scandal-ridden entertainment guru is currently out on bail and faces two criminal counts of breach of trust and issuing a bouncing cheque.

Ndengeye told journalists at B-Club on Sunday, that he was now dissociating himself from his partners and is ready to pay them back for the shares they had acquired from the club.

He was arrested on December 4 after a truck was intercepted in Musanze district carrying equipment from the club, equipment that was worth Rwf4.4m and the truck was reportedly en route to the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

According to Ndengeye, the equipment which he said contained kitchen wares was exclusively his and his business associates had no claim to it.

It was his associates who tipped off the police on learning that he was shipping off the equipment to DRC, claiming that he had done so behind their back.

He however maintains that the truck was loaded in the presence of Havugimana and it was from the kitchen, not sound systems as his partners claim.
