Party animals have something to look forward to as Happy People, a local Events company is organising an extraordinary End of Year Party, set to leave everybody with utmost glee.
According to Thierry Nzamurambaho, the co-proprietor of Happy People, the annual entertainment event is aimed at bringing together Rwandans from different parts of the world.
"This is our 5th anniversary, and it’s going to be extraordinary and exceptional from the previous End of Year parties we have ever hosted,” Nzamurambaho, said. "It’s the first time the event is going to be sponsored, and have fireworks.”
Davis Kagenzi of 4Real Promotions who has been in Kampala processing the fireworks, said that all is set "This will be the best fireworks Kigali has seen,” he said.
The party will take place on Dec 31 in the grounds of Telecom House, starting 8:55pm—entrance is Rfw10.000.
At least 1500 people including Rwandan Diaspora from South Africa, Europe, Belgium and Canada are expected to attend.
East Africa’s top celebrated deejay Stylez from Nairobi has been specially hired to grace the event, and will spin the machine until dawn.
"This year’s event is well organised. We have fulfilled all the necessary requirements to host the event," Nzamurambaho said. " We’ve letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contacted all the security bodies in the country, the Police, Traffic, Ministry of Defence, and KK Security to ensure safety.”
"We also intend to be very strict on the age limit. Only persons above 21 will be allowed to attend the party. However, those who will come with their parents/guardians will not be refused to enter, as long as they are taken care of.”
The event is sponsored by Tigo, Bralirwa, and Positive Sounds.
In an interview, Braliwa Marketing Manager Freddy Nyangezi said that the beverage manufacturer will sponsor the event, like it has been sponsoring other local entertainment events because it’s in its annual calendar.
Happy People was formed in 2004, with the aim of bringing together all Rwandans from across the world through parties.
